Catskill Weekends in early spring can turn out better than dreams Traditionally, in our area, the hendrickson, a size 14 to 12 pinkish mayfly with a greenish hue, is our first fishable hatch.  They hatch when the water temps get consistantly over 50 degrees and come A little spring swinging for some steel without 10 layers of clothing sure is a nice way to bring in the warmer weather.  Well this is about the time of year when Striped Bass wake up in the Housatonic, and this year they're a bit early. Small snippet fighting a fish from the fisherman's point of view :):):)<br><br>
